20th anniversay Harry Potter boxed book set
I was never a Harry Potter fan when the first few books came out. I only became a fan when the first movie was playing in theaters. I went to see it in November, unhappily, since a younger cousin had rented a theater for his birthday and cousins my age were going. I originally wasn't happy to be there but that quickly changed as I was hooked within the first few minutes. Later that month I received the first 2 books for my birthday. After reading the first 2 books I purchased the other books available at the time, read them, and then bought the remaining books in the series as they became available. I still have the hardcover books on a bookshelf in my room. This box set was released as part of the 20th anniversary of the first book being released. I had wanted a boxed paperback set for a while but held off since I didn't see anything that I "had to have" until now. This set is very nice and should be a must for any Harry Potter fan. I did read reviews of other boxed sets and saw some negative comments saying that some books had duplicate pages or even chapters. I looked over what I received and I don't see any of those problems in any of the 7 books. The only negative I have is that my copy of the 7th book has a slight gap between the cover and the first page where the glue wasn't applied as it was at the bottom. I'm not a big reader and I'm careful with my things so I don't think there will be a problem with that area. What I like: -The books are a larger paperback size than what I have at home for other books from a different series. -The black and white covers are lovely and I like the picture all the covers create when they are next to each other. -The books have the first chapter of the next book at the very end. -The books seem to be the same size as the ones released individually so if something happens to a book you can easily replace it. -I can finally use the special bookmarks (pictured, and NOT included in the boxed set) that I purchased to use as I read each book. What I'm not crazy about: -The box the books get stored in is made out of cardboard - not the most appealing way to store the books but the box looks great, is sturdy, and it should keep the books in good condition for years to come.
Already 33 Missing Pages in Book 1
Bought this for our youngest child back in November. She just started reading it a few days ago and we just found out that Book 1 (Sorcerer's Stone) is missing 33 pages (See Photo). Given how long its been since we bought the set, it's not returnable. She is the first to read them. We now have a "new" set that is flawed/incomplete. I will say, the covers on the books are absolutely beautiful. It would be a really nice set with better quality control. Need to go through and see if the other books are missing pages.
Just make sure you actually get #1-7!
I pre-ordered this box set in the spring, and it arrived in September. The art looks good, the box seems relatively sturdy, and it was almost what I hoped for. However, I waited a few weeks to actually look at the books and discovered that I had two copies of book #6, and was missing #4. Since I was past the 30-day return window, I couldn't exchange it. I recently ordered the missing volume, but $12 at Target was the best deal I could find. Aside from that disappointment, this anniversary series looks good.
Pages missing
Bought it for my son and he found pages missing that were ripped from tye book i will give an update see how amazon will fix problem.
The quality?
Beautiful art! Great read. The only concern for future buyers who are all about quality is that some of the pages are faded (probably a bad press) and some of them are unaligned. Not a big deal to me but certainly should be looked into. Thanks!
Cant beat the Price
Costco is known for having cheap prices, I saw the books sold individually at Costco but the price for this set was cheaper about $10 on Amazon. This was a gift for my god daughter and she loved it. Arrived when expected. no problems!

The books came in pretty good condition but as for the cardboard box case, holding the books it got beat up a bit. Would of paid a bit extra for a better case then cardboard which will get damaged overtime and its a shame given the art and pictures around the case.
Affordable and adorable
These are exactly what I was hoping for. The art is wonderful and the books are sturdy despite being paperback. The box is in good condition but I have read reviews suggesting that isn't always the case. I don't love the praise decorations of the box but those get covered up by the other books on our bookshelf. Considering the usual cost of the entire Harry Potter series, this was very affordable. I'm very happy with this purchase!
Perfect!
Everything came in perfect condition. All 7 books were there, no damage to the box. I was a little skeptical at first because of some of the negative reviews but found that no pages were missing, they are great quality, and nothing was damaged. There are a few pages here and there where the words were a bit faded towards the bottom of a page but hardly noticeable. Still able to read it perfectly clear. I absolutely love this set! I would highly recommend buying it if you’re looking for an affordable paperback set! Super fast shipping and worth every penny!
Poorly made, fall apart. Find another version!
I purchased this set for my daughter. As she has finished reading the books I decided to also read them. I’ve read books one to three so far and both one and three literally fell apart while reading them! Huge chunks of pages completely separated from the binding/cover of the book such that we can’t easily reread them and they are by no means collector items. Awful quality.
